OUR MISSION
At Home Together, we believe that healing happens best when families can stay together— especially during a child’s long-term medical treatment.
We provide affordable, furnished homes near Seattle Children’s Hospital so families can focus on what matters most.
A Unique Approach That Keeps Families Whole
Home Together is the only provider of flexible, subsidized, fully furnished single-family homes for families whose children are receiving treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Our single-family home model offers distinct and powerful benefits for both the child and the entire family:
Better health outcomes: Research shows that families who live close to their hospital have better health outcomes! Our housing eases financial & geographic burdens so families can have 24/7 lifesaving access to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Less stress, more focus: When families must live apart during unthinkable life events, emotional support systems are disrupted and everyone suffers. By providing housing with enough room for siblings, grandparents and the family dog... families can fully focus on healing.
A place of rest and normalcy: Families have a quiet, comfortable home where they can recharge away from the hospital’s intensity.
Support for caregivers: Extended family members can stay too, helping care for siblings and providing crucial emotional support.
Together, these homes bring stability, endurance, and hope to families navigating one of life’s hardest journeys.
How We Do It
Our model is built on collaboration, compassion, and community.
Homes
We currently operate nine 1-4 bedroom single-family homes, each fully furnished and ready for families to move in. Rent is subsidized on a sliding scale, with utilities, maintenance, and yard care included. Every kitchen is stocked with essentials including strong coffee for late-night arrivals.
Seattle Children’s Hospital
We work exclusively with the Oncology and Heart Transplant social work teams at Seattle Children’s Hospital to connect families in urgent need of housing within a 30-minute radius of the hospital.
The majority of families we serve fall within low to moderate income levels, as defined by Seattle’s HUD standards.
Homeowners
Each home is owned by generous individuals who share our mission. Many contribute monthly by offering rent discounts, allowing us to keep housing costs affordable for families in care.
Property Managers
Our property management partners provide flexible, short-term leases, handle maintenance, and offer daily support to ensure homes are well cared for and families can settle in with ease. We need to add a bit about MLPM here with a link to their website – we can change this when we’re not exclusively working with them.
Care Teams
Every family is paired with a local care team — compassionate neighbors who welcome them into the community, offering practical help and emotional support throughout their stay.
OUR STORY
Home Together, formerly known as Maple Leaf Foundation, was founded in 2022 by Molly Landreth. While working as a property manager, Molly witnessed firsthand the urgent need for affordable, family-friendly housing for parents relocating to Seattle so their children could receive lifesaving treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. With the partnership of Maple Leaf Property Management, generous donors, and a dedicated community of volunteers, Home Together was born. In just four years, Home Together has grown to nine homes and has served more than 50 families!
To have housing resources for all of our families, is so significant! It is such relief to the families and also to the entire medical team.
Knowing that they have a place to be, their own kitchen, space to play, space to be a teenager… it is making a profound impact our whole community of folks that are receiving treatment for cancer.
