A Love Story

Hello Friends,

As February draws to a close, we at Maple Leaf Foundation have been reflecting on love. The big, mama bear kind of love that fuels families as they support each other through very tough times. As Bell Hooks says…”love is an action, never simply a feeling.”

This month we welcomed the sweet Bunker Family into the Ralston House. They shared their story of love with us:

The Maple Leaf Foundation is such a blessing to our family. Our boys are our entire world. This weekend we all ate around the table together for the first time in 7 weeks! The boys played catch in the backyard, and we went for walks around the neighborhood. Being able to spend the night will all my babies under the same roof was the most amazing gift I could have ever asked for.

Being separated during this nightmare, with the boys unable to see their brother, has been one of the most difficult parts of this journey.  I can only hope that this will impact our boys so they will forever know the importance of family and being together.

- Heather Bunker, Everson, WA.

Maple Leaf Foundation is providing these affordable, child centered homes, reserved exclusively for long term, pediatric patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital, so that families can heal together.

Help us to support more families like the Bunkers’ by making a recurring gift today. Every penny is an act of love and makes a huge impact.
